Creating art has come naturally to me since I was born into a family
of creatives. My parents met in photography class, so I grew up with
plenty of opportunity to explore the world through a curious lens.
Each of my paintings is a conversation starter. While the ultimate
compliment is for someone to buy my work to make their space
beautiful, I want to keep the viewers engaged and inquisitive.

My process is experimental with a hint of whimsy and a bohemian
quality. I find myself in acrylic paint, soft and oil pastels,
watercolor, found papers, vintage ephemera, ink, and almost anything I
can reach. Each color, piece of paper, and mark brings context to the
artwork, then I add layers responding to every new element. When I
create, I listen to my intuition and put my judgements aside.

I’ve always been interested in how people perceive beauty, what visual
stories may evoke emotion, and how everything is connected. Of course,
my art is very personal and each brush stroke, splash of color, and
seemingly random mark is intentional and necessary to tell my story.
Sometimes that prose or poem is revolutionary to me.
